EDITING
I started by organising all the shots in floders in order to make them easier to access. After that I put all of them together in a raw montage.
I used an mp3 online converter to conver the youtube video into mp3 format.
I added the music over the raw montage and tried adding a few dislove effects.
After seeing the raw montage I noticed that i focused too much on the continuity of the narrative which made the video quite boring and hard to grasp as there was lots on repetition in action. So i decided to balance the narrative and the music a bit more, keeping in mind the flow of the narrative as well.
I edited everything in Adobe Premier , I chose this program mainly because I already have a certain skill set in it after having worked on Demure last year. I edited the colors into slightly darker and yellow-green toned ones , while also keeping them as natural as I could, I mainly did this because I wanted to further empower the idea of the audience feeling involved as much as possible.
FILMING
After having filmed Demure last year I understood the importance of the hardware so I updated my hardware to better quality one. I used a cannon 6D for the filming and a cannon 16-35 mm lens.
The main difficulty I encountered this year was the fact that I worked by my self and I had to shoot everything alone. The amount of worked was way bigger and it was very tiring.
I had lots of really nice props and the location itself helped me a lot as it's very aesthetically pleasing .
WEBSITE
I used the 1975's website as inspiration because in many ways their genre is similar to the twenty one pilots one. Twenty one pilots doeasn't have an actual website only a black page with their name and the tabs which take you to all their social media channels.
I used the IPad Pro and Apple pencil to create similar icons to the ones used by twenty one pilots of their site, I did this as I wanted them to look sketchy
I used photoshop express to convert all the pictures into black and white ones.
I wanted the website to be simple yet catchy and I made it as used friendly as I could, for it's creation I used Weebly as it was available for IPad and it's settings were flexible enough for me to be able to change anything and create it exactly as I imagined it.
ALBUM COVER
I had a photo shooting with the actors while still in Belis. I chose this particular aesthetic because I think it goes well with the style on the original band and it illustrates quite well the message of the entire album Ride is on.
I used photoshop mix on my IPad for the color editing and initial crop.
I used Procreate to refine the initial crop and drew the trees on top.
